In class at the moment we are having some interesting discussions based around the lyrics of John Lennon's song Imagine. We have analysed the lyrics and create a range of questions to generate in depth discussion around these.
Room 18 - for this post you are to respond in detail and with reasons to one of the following questions. You will also ensure that you are reading other peoples posts and respond to one of them as well.

1. Can we all share our money?
2. Could we live without religion and live in peace?

We can't share all the money in the world because some people don't earn money and then people buy food and stuff so then the money would not be even again
Can we share our money?
Yes by working harder and giving half of the money that you earn if you have a lot of money like if you earn $800 and you are very rich then you can give $400 away and that way we will have a better live and the people in Africa can have a different live and leave there old one behind.

We think that everyone should get their fair amount of money depending on how hard hey work. Money is there for everyone and everyone deserves some of it.
You don't need to give ALL of your money away, but it would be nice to give at least a fraction of your wealth to people in need of money, food and water.
Me and Coco think that people can and can not share money because some people are self centered and only care about them self.The people who are kind hearted would probably would donate some money to the people in need. By Lilith and Coco.
1.Yes,it would be sensible because maybe if you were rich and didn't share money some people might try to rob you because they would be poor,hungry and angry.They would need money, food and water because they wouldn't have enough resources.
2.No,people would probably go mad and start riots at the end of their religion because people all value their beliefs and don't want them to go away.

I think that the richer people could give money to poor to help there lives a better start.For example people in Africa die of starvation and war so if you give them some money that would help them survive their lives.
We can share money because if we share we can help other people have a more happier life instead of people dying and starving to death.For example you are rich and you visit a poor country like Africa and you see a poor person and you don't give him/her food and a few days later he
dies of starvation.
We think we can share money and belongings with other people like the poor and the homeless to help people live there life's with happiness.People should help out charities by donating clothing and there is the word YOLO which means you only live once and that's why people should help others and bring happiness and peace to the world.
We think we can live with out religion and still live in peace.People can also chose which religion they want and believe what they what E.G God Jesus Christ,Heaven and Hell and other stuff that they want.
We can share our money but some rich people don't want to shear there money because they think they will have less.But they don't have to give much just ten or twenty dollars would make a big diffidence in some where poorer like places in Africa. I think we could shear but some people don't think we can.

Like if we all give at lest more then $1 ,so that is sharing but if your really wealthy you should give some money that you don't need and keep the rest for your need.
Yes,because everyone will have a good amount to have what they need and they don't live a bad life.
No,because everyone is happy if they have a religion.E.g people that believe in god they think what ever they pray comes true.They think what ever happens that god has their back.

Maybe because the people who don't believe in god it would be easy for them to go without religion but for the people who do believe in god it would be very hard for them to go without religion and then they would probably start world war three.

1.Maybe,It deepness on what you got the money for.
For example if you won the money as if the lotto you would share money because it was a chance and you might not of got it.
An other example is if you got it for work you would keep it to your self because you worked really hard for the money you do not want to give it away.

We think that anyone could live without religion if they try because all you have to do is forget about your beliefs eg God.
It would be a better world if we could live without beliefs because their would be no wars and fights between other religions.(And no world war 3!!!!!!!!!!)
I think that some famous people should give money to the countries that need it. Tack Tyler Swift she gave the money from her consorts to the people ho need it the most.
I think some businesses should give money like Apple and Samsung they earn about 10,000$ per year and I think that they shouldn't release there phones so fast.

We disagree with Herny because people need to work for there own money not for free.
We agree with Henry because yes you can give away some of your money if your rich and earned allot like $900 and donate some of your money E.G $450 to charities like red cross.
Jessica, Maddison we do agree. We think that the poor should not have to give money.

We don't agree with Henry because you need some money to feed your family and yourself and then you have all the bills to pay.Then you need extra money for clothes and sometimes you might want holidays.And by then you will get more money the next day and you would have to go through that stage again.

I agree with Molly and Olivia because everyone should have a good amount of money if they do a easy job or a hard job.
EXAMPLE:If you talk all day for a famous radio station you should at least get $40 an hour.If you just sit in bed all day and expect yourself to get money for doing nothing you shouldn't get money because the people that work hard deserve it and sometimes those people give some to the people that needs it.Then the lazy people just hog it all to their self.
I AGREE WITH HENRY BECAUSE AFTER SOME
TIME EVERYONE WOULD HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY AND THEY WOULD SHARE.
I don't think that all the people would want to forget their religion and we can't force them to.So I guess we can't live without religion.
I think we could live with out religion but it would be very hard for religious people and easier for the people who aren't religious but I still think people that are religious should have something to believe in.

I agree with Glory because if you were rich and lots of people were begging for food and water, and you didn't help them, they might die and you would feel really bad. Helping people sometimes makes you feel really good.

i think that we should all share money, unless you dont have enough to give and if you did give then you would have nothing left, but if you did have enough to give like if you gave $50 and you still had plenty to keep then you should defently share money.

What about if there was no money.Everything could be free and it would be like everyone had money.To stop the greedy people there could be a limit of things you can buy per day.

i think that we can all live without religion because sometimes people with different religions can be judgmental about other religions and that can cause disagreement between the religions and also lead to war, so without religion we could all be as one and everyone will accept each other.
No, because without money we will never buy houses or a cars or food or even anything that's why we need money.

we could but some people in NZ are poor and the government gives money to the people that need it but they don't spend it on a job they spend it on food and feel happy because they are getting money with out doing anything so it would be had to share money.

400$ is not enough to get through about3 weeks,also giving half is a bit to much if you were to give some away,you need to think about your self as well sometimes not just the poor.because something could go wrong with like your money and you might wish you didnt give that much away.

I agree with Henry because people who earn a lot should give half of their earnings to the people who mostly like the poor,sick and the elderly in rest homes our sick and in hospital.
You can also give money give money to charity's E.G Ronald MacDonald house,red cross,salvation army and world Vision.

I agre with Coco & Lilith because some people are selfish and don't care about others but some people think about others and what state they are living so if they need any help with living or surviving with out their general needs.
hopefully most of us aren't the type of people who would hog all their wealth for themselves!!!
