Sploder Example

Room 30 has been using an online game design site called Sploder. This allows for users to create, test and publish their own exciting games.

Room 30 - Electrified

Here is the final performance of our dance. What a great time we had learning about different types of energies during this Rich Task. Prepare to be electrified!

What a great time we all had performing our dance for an audience this week! Here are a few pictures from the show.

Dance, dance, dance.

We have been practising our Rich Task dance and have come up with this work of art. It is showing our conceptions around electrical energy. The beginning is a drama/dance created to reflect the storm sound effects, the main dance is our electricity ideas.

We find that watching our dance on film helps us realise that each person and each movement is a key part of the what the audience sees. This clip for example will be used to help us focus on areas that need to be improved or changed.

Explorer Time

In the Whetu syndicate we have an amazing learning opportunity which happens each Tuesday afternoon. During this time we are able to explore a range of learning opportunities, such as weaving, kite making, drama, music, obstacle courses and much more.

 For this post you will write a comment about one of your favourite learning moments you have had during explorer time and why you enjoyed it so much.

Ambury Farm 2014

What an amazing time we had on our trip to Ambury Farm this week. We learnt about farm animals and how they help provide us with food and even got to meet quite a few. Mr Big, the female goat was Andrew's favourite.

We also went on a foreshore walk, saw some amazing lava flow areas and thousands of sea birds.
